Auto top-ups for advertising accounts
Auto top-ups keep the right amount of money in your advertising accounts automatically, so campaigns don't stop when the balance runs out. You switch them on in one click on the top-up page of a specific advertising account, then choose the settings that suit your needs.
Where to switch it on
- Go to the top-up page of the advertising account you need.
- Turn on «Auto top-up».
- Choose the auto top-up type and set the parameters.
Types of auto top-up
- Balance-based — tops up the advertising account automatically when the balance falls below a set threshold. Handy for campaigns that must run without interruption.
- Top-up amount: the fixed amount of each auto top-up.
- When the balance falls below: the threshold that triggers a top-up.
- Daily limit: the maximum total of auto top-ups per day, to keep spending under control.
- Source of funds: which balance to draw on first:
- Advertising first, then the main balance.
- Main balance first, then advertising.
- Main balance only.
- Scheduled — tops up the advertising account on a set schedule. Handy for planned budgeting.
- Top-up amount: the fixed amount of each auto top-up.
- Interval: how often it runs.
- Days: specific days of the week or every day.
- Source of funds: the same priority options as for the balance-based type.
Sources of funds
You can set the priority flexibly:
- Advertising first, then the main balance — advertising funds are spent first, and any shortfall is covered from the main balance.
- Main balance first, then advertising — the other way round: the main balance first, then the advertising one.
- Main balance only — every top-up comes exclusively from the main balance.
Restriction for manual networks
Only scheduled auto top-ups are available for manually connected ad networks. The balance threshold trigger is not supported for them.
Practical recommendations
- Set the «when the balance falls below» threshold with some headroom. For example, if you spend around 5,000 a day, set the threshold at 6,000–8,000 to avoid pauses in delivery.
- Use the daily limit. It protects you against unexpected overspending when costs spike or triggers fire frequently.
- Use the schedule for peaks and the balance threshold for steady delivery. Together they cover both predictable and sudden scenarios.
- Check the source of funds. If you have other payments planned from the main wallet, set the priority to «advertising first, then the main balance».
